Week 4 - Reflection'

Today, week 4, 3th November 2015, is the first day to move to music lesson from my previous drama lesson. I was very excited on what we will be learning in Music lesson. It was about "Music of Games"! In this lesson, we need to prepare many things for our task, which was to create your own musical theme song for the "Game" that you had chosen. But before starting creating your own theme song for your game, you need an "e-instrument", named "GarageBand", for your composing. I was struggling with this problem, so I was starting to be nervous and worry. I tried to find  alternatives of GarageBand such as the "CuBass", and "Synthesia". Unfortunately, I had missed the chance of using them because Synthesia and CuBass are Premium. In this lesson, we had also research, learn and guess about HOOK. In my opinion, a musical hook is referring to "an attractive starting passage for video games".

Week 6 - Reflection

Today, 17th November 2015, is the second week for me in music lesson. In this lesson, I had learnt about composing Rhythm Beats and Structure Chords to a computer game. Our teacher also gave us to watch some examples of video games theme songs, such as the "Mario", etc. The HOOK of the theme song for the video games were normally made up using just 3 to 4 notes. In this week, I was still struggling with my "software" and my "rhythms".

Week 7 - Reflection

Today is the 24th November 2015, the third week for me in music lesson. Luckly, I found a software named LMMS for my composing of video game theme song. In this lesson, I start of by composing of my theme song after learning how to use the software. I still cannot finish at the end of the lesson. So I planned to continue to compose my theme song at home. It takes 3-6 hours to finish my own theme song for a video game.
